About the course
Welcome to your Early Days pack!
Over the next few weeks or months, until you are cleared by your obstetrician and women's health physiotherapist to resume exercise, you may want to "get moving", stretch, and breathe without feeling like you are taking risks! This is what these videos are all about.
They are meant to help you gently reconnect with your body, stay grounded through breathwork and meditation, and release some of the tension that is prevalent in the first few weeks or months postpartum, such as lower back, wrist, and shoulder tension.
We designed these short classes so they would be easy to incorporate into your busy new mama days and nights, and so you would feel energized and relaxed after.
We hope this programme helps you the way it helped us.
Be kind to yourself, mamas.
Allie, Marianne & Sara
Meet Marianne !
Marianne is the founder of the Core Connect method. A fervent women's health advocate and mum of two, she is a passionate mover, fully-certified Pilates instructor, and core function expert.
After a difficult childbirth and isolating first year postpartum in 2017, she had to explore recovery options outside the medical community.
As she healed herself, she decided to work towards developing a thorough and compassionate approach to prenatal and postnatal training, creating practical workshops for mamas, a diastasis repair programme that has helped 650 women to this day, and a comprehensive prenatal and postnatal course for instructors that goes beyond her Pilates background and draws on the latest research.
Her extensive knowledge and expertise led to a restorative and empowering second childbirth experience in 2020, which only strengthened her passion for helping other women feel supported, empowered and informed through their motherhood journey.
Meet Allie !
Alison, also known as Allie, is a proud Canadian who has been living in Dubai for about 9 years. She is a 6 foot-tall ‘kid’ who loves to make individuals laugh and help them let go of their serious side.
Her yoga journey began 11 years ago, when she noticed stress beginning to take over her life and her personality. After practicing yoga for many years, Allie finally decided to take her 200 hour Vinyasa Teacher training in Thailand. She quickly realized how yoga can help put ‘hardships’ into perspective and the stress melted away. Two years later, she went on to complete her 300 hour Hatha Teacher Training in India and has gone on to certify herself as a Pre- and Post-Natal Yoga Teacher, as well as a Pilates Teacher (Reformer and Mat) and Barre Class Instructor.
Alison is also a Master Trainer for Rad Mobility (@radrolleruae). She educates health professionals and trainers on how to use her mobility tools, helping individuals move better.
Meet Sara!
Sara turned to yoga out of curiosity 15 years ago and quickly felt the amazing benefits that it had on the full system.
Following her E-RYT 500hrs Dharma Yoga training, her teaching focuses on a combination of a dynamic, positively challenging & uplifting physical practice, whilst also incorporating other facets of yoga such as breathwork (pranayama) and meditation. Sara also combines her extensive studies of modern age mobility, strength training and fascia knowledge into her method. Her positive energy and creativity is defining.
Sara became a first time mum in September 2020. With her postnatal yoga videos, she aims at helping new mothers find the emotional and mental clarity she herself found through her practice during the challenges of early motherhood.
