Introduction
WELCOME TO YOUR CORE CONNECT PELVIC FLOOR AUDIO PACK FOR RECENT EPISIOTOMY
Episiotomies are a common occurrence during childbirth. Just because they are does not mean that recovering from them is a walk in the park.
I can relate. I had a 17-stitch episiotomy for my firstborn.
In the weeks that follow your 6-week check-up, it is of critical importance to be very gentle and to bring blood flow and gentle awareness to the area, whilst being mindful of the fact that your brain may not want to hear from it!
Practice this pack with patience, when and only when you feel ready to tend to the area.
Do not forget that scar tissue formation can inhibit the normal activity of your muscles.
For this reason, consulting with a women’s health physiotherapist who is skilled in releasing scar tissue may prove extremely beneficial after an episiotomy.
Start the pack ideally on the day following the last day of your period and after scar tissue has been released.
If you have not had your period yet, you can start as of now!
Enjoy reconnecting with your precious muscles!
Warmly,
Marianne
